We are pleased to announce that Prof. Saied Pirasteh has been awarded Fellowship of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) (https://www.theiet.org/), one of the highest professional distinctions conferred by the IET. Fellowship is granted in recognition of sustained leadership, significant technical contributions, and international impact in engineering and technology. Prof. Pirasteh’s election as an IET Fellow reflects his more than three decades of academic, professional, and research excellence in geospatial sciences, Earth observation, GeoAI, and disaster risk management, as well as his active engagement with international scientific and professional organizations.
