The Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Shaoxing University, successfully completed a visit to ECOCODE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from 7–8 September 2025. During the visit, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen future research and development in GeoAI initiatives with a focus on advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In addition, the delegation engaged in constructive discussions with King Abdul Aziz University, exploring pathways for a three-way academic and research collaboration. Plans are underway for an MOU among ECOCODE, King Abdul Aziz University, and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Shaoxing University to deepen cooperation in cutting-edge AI and geospatial technologies.
As part of this growing partnership, ECOCODE and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence are pleased to announce a jointly organized one-day workshop on Geospatial Intelligence: Enhancing Collaborations between Academia and the Private Sector, aiming to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and impactful applications of geospatial intelligence.
