Title: Signal Processing and Resource Optimization for 6G Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems

Speaker: Dr. Yuanyuan Dong

Time:  31 October, 14:00-15:00

Venue: Conference Room 311, Institute of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract:

With the in-depth development of the Internet, mobile communications are being driven to evolve to 6G in both the technology and business layers, and the functional requirements for information processing are expanding from information transmission to information collection and computing. Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) can achieve a unified design of communication and sensing functions through the joint design of air interfaces and protocols, time-frequency and spatial resource reuse, hardware sharing, and other means, enabling wireless networks to have high-precision and refined sensing functions while providing high-quality communication. It can realize the connection between the physical and the digital worlds, and has broad application prospects in fields such as smart cities, smart factories, smart homes, and environmental monitoring. However, its application still faces many challenges, such as different requirements for communication and sensing beams, the lack of integrated design for sensing waveforms, transmitting and receiving signal processing, and how to manage resource allocation reasonably and suppress interference between communication and sensing functions. Therefore, this study focuses on efficient signal processing and resource optimization design in ISAC systems to effectively improve system performance.
